Welcome to Paw Bella Dog Grooming. To ensure a safe, comfortable, and low-stress experience for every pet, please review our core salon policies below.

1. Health & Vaccination Requirements

Rabies Vaccine: Up-to-date Rabies vaccination is required prior to service.

Health Disclosures: Owners must notify us of any pre-existing health conditions, including heart conditions, seizures, arthritis, allergies, skin irritations, recent surgeries, or advanced age, so we can adjust our handling techniques accordingly.

2. Safety, Temperament & Behavioral Policy

Behavioral History: Owners must disclose if a dog has a history of biting, severe anxiety, extreme touch sensitivity, or requires special handling/muzzling.

Right to Refuse Service: Safety comes first. We reserve the right to stop or decline grooming services if a dog displays extreme distress or aggressive behavior that poses a danger to itself or our staff. Owners remain responsible for fees covering services completed up to that point.

3. Matting & "Comfort Before Style" Policy

Shave-Down Permission: Removing a severely matted or pelted coat is a medical necessity, not a cosmetic choice. If matting is severe, we prioritize the pet's well-being by shaving the coat short rather than subjecting the animal to painful brush-outs.

Pre-Existing Conditions: Shaving matted fur may reveal underlying skin issues (e.g., irritation, hot spots, sores, or ear hematomas). Paw Bella is not liable for pre-existing skin conditions exposed during mat removal. Additional fees may apply for matted coat care.

4. Emergency Medical Care & Liability Waiver

Emergency Treatment Authorization: If a pet experiences a sudden health crisis or injury and the owner cannot be reached immediately, Paw Bella is authorized to seek prompt veterinary care at the owner's expense.

Liability Release: While every precaution is taken during handling and grooming, Paw Bella is not liable for health complications arising from undisclosed pre-existing conditions, stress reactions, or age-related issues.
